Qué sera sera

My roommate Hannah just bought seasons 1 and 2 of Dead Like Me on DVD and we watched the first episode tonight.  So good!!

I was struck by how much Georgia reminded me of my character Delilah.  It’s a little annoying when you see something similar to a character/story you’ve been planning, but this time it was also fun for me, just seeing a real person play a comparable character and enjoying all of the little details that I felt fit my character, too.

I’m excited to see where the show goes!  Terry has been telling me about it forever.

The same black line that was drawn on you was drawn on me

Fan art for Estado de Meerkats from The Soup. :) Molly and I are Rapture Roadtrippin’ it to Lincoln City tomorrow to see Joel McHale’s stand-up!!! Awkward attempts at contact will be made, I am sure.

I heard, I heard, what you gonna do?

God, I love Parks and Rec. I rewatched one of my favorite exchanges today, a deleted scene from the episode ‘Kaboom’:

Marlene: “You cut through the red tape? Honey, don’t you know why red tape was invented? To cover your ass. Red tape is our pants.”
Leslie: “Mom, I went rogue. I went cowboy. Now I have to find a way to go reverse-cowboy.”
Marlene: “Leslie, please. You don’t even know what that means. What are you trying to say?”

Leslie: “I built a playground in a day. A day. It was like your stories of cocaine.”
Marlene: “Leslie, those were different times. Everyone in government was doing cocaine. It was like Snapple.”

Today I find myself strangely free of artistic duties, so I think I will draw me some Between Gears. :)

I hear him every night on every street the scales that do slither

EDIT: Here are the final image and line art:

Warm-up drawing: Olivia!

Everyone who sees us greets us as we fly

I. Love. This movie. We watch it every December!

My favorite part (besides the song, OF COURSE) is when they ride the motorcycle through the trees.

Give me some rope tie me to the dream

Check out my fan art on Briar Hollow this week!

Dude, best commission ever: Catbus + koala + panda for David Harper. So ridiculously much fun.

as;dlkfjalskdmf;laskdfj I have so much love for Fringe.
SO.
MUCH.
LOVE.
My latest obsession is this full-length, piano version of the theme song:

If I find sheet music I like, I’d love to try learning this song on my keyboard! I also reeeeeeally want to do fan art, but that is just something that will have to wait. ;__; It will be so sweet when I finally find the time.

The stories would excite me

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I have been waiting so long to watch these episodes again.

Ego side story: when you search Google Images for “Tom Haverford”, “Ron Swanson”, or “April Ludgate”, you get my fan art.

We make a pair of parentheses

For the longest time, I have not been able to keep these 3 men straight, but I swear I am going to train myself to recognize them correctly:

Joshua Jackson

Gerard Butler

Liev Schreiber

WHY DO YOU LOOK SO SIMILAR???!

I’d be love and sweetness if I had you

Every year I miss 24 Hour Comics Day, but this year I forgive myself, because I’m actually taking a 4-hour art seminar that day on visual journaling. How perfect is that?

But for anyone else interested, I hope you can participate! It looks really fun…I wanna do it next year!!

Ugh, watching waaaay too much TV on Hulu and drawing at my desk. 3 entire pages down today, and about 5 hours of The Office, Community, SNL, 30 Rock, Bones, and Dollhouse down as well.

Not chasing a dream I’m wasting time cause everything I want is mine

I LOOOOOVE Infomania. New favorite show.
My friend Emily got me into Sarah Haskins this year, and we would squeal on our couch every time she released a new video.

I decided to try Infomania because the clips we were watching came from a larger show, and maybe there would be more Sarah Haskins on it.
Sadly, there is not. Happily, there is a lot of other talent on that show. I am loving all of the small sideshows to the Soup-esque main segment–there’s Sarah Haskin’s Target Women, Suggested Summer Reading, Infomania Editorial, That’s Gay, and Viral Video Film School to name a few. Observe! (Demo Reel segment around 12:00 is the greatest thing ever!!!)

Also, the theme song is great. Here’s the full version of the song:
